CuraScript’s specialty care management programs are clinical programs that focus on compliance and adherence to drug therapy. The goal of each program is to increase the number of patients that will achieve the desired clinical result by improving patient compliance to the prescribed medication regimen.

These programs are developed to perform three basic functions:

1. Emphasize prevention of exacerbations and complications utilizing evidence-based practice guidelines and patient empowerment strategies
2. Evaluate clinical, humanistic, and economic outcomes on an ongoing basis with the goal of improving overall health.
3. Support the physician or practitioner/patient relationship and plan of care

Hepatitis C
Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection is the most common chronic blood borne infection in the United States with approximately 4.5 million people infected. HEPLogic is a medication and specialty care management program that guides the delivery of specialty pharmaceutical services to patients with HCV and supports patients as they complete the potentially difficult course of therapy.

Through education and empowerment, HEPLogic clinicians enable patients to participate in their own care, identify and self-manage therapy side effects, and recognize side effects that could compromise the course of therapy.  This not only supports patient adherence to treatment, but it assist physicians, health plans, and employers in meeting their clinical and/or financial goals.

Multiple Sclerosis
MSLogic is a medication and specialty care management program for patients currently on therapy for multiple sclerosis (MS). MSLogic empowers patients with the knowledge about multiple sclerosis and how to effectively management their disease.

The program is focused on patient adherence. Studies have shown that patients that adhere to their medication regimen and treatment plan stand a better chance of effectively managing their disease and living a quality life.

MSLogic not only supports patient adherence to treatment, but it assists physicians, health plans, and employers in meeting their clinical and/or financial goals.

Bleeding Disorders
Bleeding Disorders Logic is a medication and specialty care management program for our patients on therapy for hemophilia or von Willebrands disease. Bleeding Disorders Logic empowers patients with the knowledge about their bleeding disorder and how to effectively management their disease.

Bleeding Disorders Logic not only supports patient adherence to treatment; but it assists physicians, health plans and employers in meeting their clinical and/or financial goals.

Additionally, we manage factor assays, ensuring that the prescribed factor medication, in the dosage required, is available when a patient may need it. Assay management is essential to minimize over-utilization of drug and control cost.

Rheumatoid Arthritis & Psoriasis
RALogic and PSORIASISLogic educate patients about their disease and the biologic medication that they are using. Our clinicians help patients manage some potential issues and they also help them identify situations which require consultation with a physician. RALogic and PSORIASISLogic stress the importance of adherence in order to achieve best results with therapy.


RSV
RSVLogic guides caregivers of at-risk babies in the steps that they can take to protect their child from RSV, including the correct use of Synagis on a monthly basis during RSV season. The program also helps caregivers identify symptoms that suggest that their baby may need attention from a physician. RSVLogic stresses the importance of adherence and continuing the full course of therapy, even if the baby develops RSV.
